The buttercream recipe I use consists of-

50/50 butter/crisco
vanilla extract
powdered sugar

That's essentially it. I am happy with this recipe because my customers like it, I like it, and it's nice and white and has a good consistency. I want a more buttery flavor but don't want to add more butter because when I do, I get a greasier and way too soft buttercream.

I've thought about adding a butter flavoring and have used Wilton's but I don't like it. It has a "fake" taste (I know it really is fake, but still). Does anyone use a similar recipe and still add a butter flavoring that they like and would suggest?

Adam's Extract makes a butter flavoring that I like. I don't care much for Magic Line's it has a smell to it I can't describe and it just has a taste I didn't like, too sweet maybe?
