This is a great stand. Heres the one I made from these directions for a bridal shower. And I'm also doing 2 of these for a upcoming wedding.

i just read up on this right before i saw your post. my suggest (haven't tried it yet but have used it on other things) is to use rubber cement to secure the paper instead of glue. it will hold it to the board but will peel off easy when you want it to

How cool! I wish I'd seen this a few months ago. A coworker needed a bunch of cupcake stands for a bridal shower. I let her borrow a couple that I had, and she ended up with 10 different cupcake stands on 10 different tables. We could have made stands that matched the bridal party's colors and saved her loads of stress.

Thanks for sharing! thumbs_up.gif

Here are instructions for a square cupcake stand. I did this for my friend's engagement party. You can see the picture in my photos.

When I placed the ribbon on mine i wrapped each layer in wrapping paper then used fabric glue to glue the ribbon on. It pulls off really easy so you can use the ribbon again and doesnt ruin the cake boards.

Wow, thanks for posting these are so pretty and look so easy too. I love using the metal pins and redecorating when you want to. I would add a circle of that thin spongy shelf paper so they don't slide around.

What is the best glue to use between the cakeboards and the dividers??? I followed the directions of the circle cupcake stand, but the glue between the round cake boards and the dividers never dried completely and I was afraid it would be unstable.

Oooh..I must try a square stand!!

For the queen of cupcake stands, (& the queen of cupcakes) this woman is the best! She was doing the cupcake stands long before cupcakes were even a twinkle in my eye, & has inspired me with her gorgeous creations! If I can be half as good as her one day......dreaming again......

I think she is the queen of the decorated cupcake too!!

i'm gonna make one for my niece's birthday party and was wondering if you guys can suggest sizes for each "tier" the top will have a two tier cake 9" and 5".

will 18" 14" 10" be enough for the cake on top and 100 cupcakes?

cupcakeshoppe- I just made my first one - it was 16", 14", 12", 10" and held about 54 cupcakes... in case that helps.

oh wow! do you have a picture i would love to see it! So it has to be bigger than that then. I'm thinking maybe 22", 18", 14" 10" for the cake on top.

I just made one this last week for a monkey themed baby shower. I had a hard time with the ribbon. Hopefully the next one will come out better.

wow Cyndi, your cupcake stand is great!! I'm definitely jealous!!

And about how much did it cost you to make? I am not sure if I would just charge the cost to the client or take a deposit on it and re-use it?
