I've noticed in the past couple of months there are a lot more hostile, aggressive, and plain un-kind attacks on other people here on CC.
This has always been a great place for cake decorators to support one another, learn from each other, and share ideas.
It seems that the harsh world of angries is creeping in.... it's everywhere else, and with the number of members growing here (wonderful!!!) I think it's coming our way!!!
So... I hope we can each do our part to think of others' feelings, be open to other points of views, and quick to defend our fellow CC'ers who are under unfair insults and attacks. And also, be a little slower in dishing out the arguements ourselves. I always want to aplaud those who do this - you know who you are
We could all use a little kindness - let's get together and keep CC the wonderful, supportive place it is!!!!!!
I blame the gas prices....when gas is expensive people get nasty...
Seriously...I've also noticed how mean some people have been lately around here...it's scary, let's be nice please....
Now let's have a group hug!
I was thinking the same thing this morning. I know that I'm new to this world but I have noticed that there is a lot of hostility and cruelty going on.
I wish we could all just get along and keep our mean comments to ourselves. I mean, we are all just trying to help each other and accept help from people who are willing to give a little of themselves right?
I had just given up on cake decorating when I found this site. It got me excited again, and I am now addicted. Unfortunatly, I am far from computer savy. Hense no photos yet. But as soon as I get my DH to help I will have them posted. I hope to get constructive critism to help me learn and grow. There are all skill levels on this site, and it's wonderful to see them all. So, I agree. Let's keep it positive. This is such a great support system. Thanks CC !
I must miss those threads because I haven't noticed any over abundance of cattiness going on. I see one once in a blue moon, but I wouldn't say I could point to "a lot more hostile" examples.
I love this site, but am VERY careful about what I say. I cannot tell you the amount of times that I submit something only to instantly edit it, in fear of having everyone get angry. (Has happened-it sucks).
Yesterday I think was pretty bad, when a member was being discussed for posting nasty comments on someone else's photos. Someone signed up as a new member, and just starting saying terrible things about another girl's cookies. How rude is that?

Maybe the gumpaste threads are the nasty ones.....
Kidding, of course!
