Hi Everybody,

My neighbor is having bunco night tomorrow night. I've never been to one but I was invited and want to take a cake. I don't have a bunch of time between now and tomorrow night but I have a little. I sort of want to do the Wilton house pan. Any ideas on what kind of cake and filling they'd love and how this lazy slightly experienced decorator (with a 3 yr. old and 18 mth old) can make it look awesome FAST (by tomorrow).

Thanks a bunch! Even if you guys have no ideas, you're still the BEST.

Is Bunco a game?

You could make a cake that looks like a dice. Shape it in the form of a cube, ice it white, and put some black dots on it. You might use a square pan and just cut and stack to make the cube.

Here is a link for some dice cakes I found on CC. They might give you an idea or two.

I did a Bunco cake. Started with the 6" square pan and baked 3 of them. Stacked and frosted with white BC frosting and because I was short on time, I used round candy melts as my dots on the dice. May even want to do 3 smaller versions, since it's played with 3 dice. HTH

We have a bunco party every month at church and we do something that is called "cra*pin out"... the head table roles a dice and the number that comes up is the number that when all three dice come up the same number is the "cra* out"... what I am planning to do is putting the dice on a sheet cake with all of the same number on the tops and writing "Oh, CRA*!" on it.

Bunco is a dice game usually played with a group of 12 people, 4 at 3 tables. You roll dice and keep score or wins/losses. The winners get prizes or money depending on the groups rules. There are several versions of Bunco out there. It's a lot of fun! I play too. In fact, I was just asked by one of the girls in my group to come up with a Bunco themed cake for this month.

I have bunco dice in my photos section. They are 4 inch double layer square cakes covered in white fondant and black fondant circles for the dice. Give them a bunco! by having the same dice face up on all three.

I love the dice idea for Bunco...that's what the game is played with afterall! My sister lives in San Diego and when I visit every March for the cake show I'm always hooked into playing Bunco. Bunco is sooo fun and a great way for woman to get crazy and wild...at least the group I play with does.....oh yeah, and some great food/sweets/wine/mixers......oooopsss a little TMI!!!

Anyway, have fun with the cake!!!

GREAT dice cakes!

I've been in the same Bunco group for 14 years now. I'm anxious for my turn to host it so I can make a cake!
