I have the standard wire Wilton cupcake tree. I wanted to decorate the cupcakes/tree like the link below, but the scrapbook paper just will not work for me. Any ideas out there on how to spice up the decorating to give the cupcakes some oomph while on the stand?

The slant on the papers make it hard to wrap anything around them. How about using a glue dot and sticking a bow of 1/2" wide checked or polka dot ribbon to the outside of each cupcake, like the ones in your picture. You could even add a silk flower detail (the flat ones in the scrapbook section) to the center in a coordinating color. Hope that helps.

Thanks kimsmom! I like the idea of attaching something from the scrapbook section! Thanks!

I would also consider if it works...just a thought of buying white paper cups and cutting half way to the size of the cup cake...and maybe decorating with paper, thin....from the single sheets they use in scrape booking.

then maybe you can slide the whole cup cake in there with the cup intact into the new cup you decorated. Im not an expert but just a thought hope it helps.

I like the hot glue idea but I think I would opt for using a bead of Royal Icing instead of the glue. Love the idea of colored paper or even large ribbon.

ElectricCook, I have NO computer savvy. How do I download the templates to their actual size? I apologize for my ignorance.
