covering with bc and mmf, white cakes, yellow cakes, pound cakes?
I want to try some new recipes and can't decide which will hold up to being decorated with bc and mmf? TIA

You can use pretty much any cake you want. I have used all of the above. You certainly don't *need* a pound cake. Your run-of-the-mill white/yellow/chocolate cake will hold up just fine.
