I think they are hilarious! That first one has been posted here several times. I think theconstruction of the second one is really neat icon_smile.gif

I am on the fence about them...Being married and all....But lets just say it, another occasion for someone to order a cake...I could do without the gore myself...But there are a few divorces that I have witnessed that these would suit very well!!! icon_biggrin.gif

i really like the one where the bride is holding the groom's head instead of a bouquet! i'm not divorced but i feel like doing that sometimes!

Ok, I dont want anyone to shoot me.

All of a sudden it occured to me, are there any cakes where the bride is in the wrong.
I have a good friend (male) who's bride left him 3 weeks after the wedding for one of his best friends (they had an affair for several months before the wedding.... long story should not have gotten married.) We never got thank you's for our gifts or were the gifts ever returned... she was a piece of work....
Anyhow.... are there?

Good Luck!

While I don't think we "need" all the blood I do love the divorce cakes. I made one for my best friend when his divorce was final about 5 years ago! Ironically, 3 years later we were married and I have plans on making him another one!!!! (hehehe)

Those are crazy! The second one is a doctored photo. It is just done pretty well but if you look close in the middle of the split tier you can see the remains of the front column.

they actually make me sad

if i don't laugh about my marital issues i'll cry! -i'd rather laugh. luckily my husband's not as morbid as i am icon_smile.gif at least i don't think he has fantasies of holding my disenbodied head icon_confused.gificon_eek.gif

our 9th anniversary is 2 weeks from yesterday by the way. icon_biggrin.gif

also, i'm quite sure there are just as many women in the wrong -takes 2 to tango of course. it's probably just that men don't express themselves in cake as often.

Well said and I agree thumbs_up.gif . I admit I had to kiss a lot of toads to find my handsome prince, but sometimes I'd like to drowned him in the toad pond!! That's just life. I wouldn't change it for anything icon_rolleyes.gif .

The reason you we se only grooms bloodied up is because only a woman would order the cake in the first place. icon_lol.gif

Yes...my divorce would have required the blood!

In NC you have to wait a year after being separated to get your divorce, so by the time you have been through the ringer for an entire year, a divorce cake doesn't seem like a bad idea -- a little comic relief.

Needs more blood.

Haha! Just kidding. I think the cakes are funny and that just goes to show you there is never a excuse to not have cake. LOL

I wish I had one of those cakes when I got divorced from my first husband 10 years ago, just to cheer me up.After cheating on me several times and treating me like a 1900 wife he deserved all the gore and blood. icon_twisted.gificon_lol.gif I think those cakes are hillarious, but I also respect the opinion of the people who thinks there is a limit.I hope my second hubby keeps behaving... icon_twisted.gificon_biggrin.gif

Sorry Mike1394. icon_biggrin.gif

We are being biased. You can be the brave soul to post a headless bride and the groom surrounded by Hooter's girls. icon_lol.gif

I'd make one. The blood doesn't bother me after watching one of my friends get tapedshut.gif over by her ex-husband. I think there should be some for the guys to though, but we can't let Mike get divorced in order to make one. icon_lol.gificon_wink.gif

Your friend missed my version:

   http://www.cakecentral.com/cake-photo_335463.html

I'd make one with the bride off the cake, equal opportunity, but my guess is that a guy's divorce cake would most likely be a booby cake instead of a wedding cake. Or maybe no cake - just beer. And strippers. And more beer.

So true!! That is the exact reason there are no anti-wife cakes!!!

Yeah, just looking closely you can tell that second one is photoshopped -would be neat for someone to try to make a real one though. Our local news station did a segment on divorce cakes, as did Entertainment Tonight(I think it was that show). We may start getting calls for them! AHH!

These cakes looked more like death by murder cakes... did not hit my funny bone at all. Once you have been through a divorce, it is difficult to find anything funny about the painful experience... especially if there are children. I did like the cake cut into two halves... but the rest were borderline distasteful, in my humble, divorcee opinion.

The girl in the first pic actually got back together with her hubby after the divorce....wonder if she ordered a cake for that. LOL
