My husband has finally decided "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em." No, he doesn't help in the kitchen (thank goodness--the man can't run the microwave). But he is very proud of telling people he has the most important job of all--QUALITY CONTROL!!!! LOL! He happily disposes of all my cake scraps, practice goodies, and general disasters. The kids love to join him. (I leave leftover frosting right in the deco bags and they decorate cake scraps for their desserts.) He'll come home from working and ask me if I screwed anything up for him. What a guy! *sniff* Getting rid of the evidence before my customers have a chance to see it. *sniff, sniff* I'm such a lucky girl!

I'm probably the one that was mentioned about joining in 2006 and saying i'm new, but I really am! I signed on here looked at the page once, and I forgot to favriote the website then after a long time I remembered about this site, found it, but I forgot my sign-in and password. I don't have a business either...yet. But I do like looking at everyone creations and am glad I have a place to see what it's like having a cake business from the inside.

My name is Sue and I am addicted to Cake Central, and proud of it!!! Whenever I am on the computer my family doesn't even ask anymore what I'm doing - they know I am getting my CC fix. My husband calls this site "Crack Central" because I'm so addicted and can never get enough.

The worst for me is that I can't log on at home...the computer just freezes up. So I race into work early each morning so I can sit and check CC. NOTHING but CC gets me out of bed early!

I'm another newbie lurker addict! It's tough for us to post comments when we have to go back and read all of the previous posts. With all the time I spend reading and learning, there isn't much time for posting! I don't think I'll ever catch up, but I sure love trying! I love CC and you guys are all so amazingly talented!

I have this site up all day long at work, and at home too! I just can't help it

My name is Sandra and, alas, I too suffer from the addiction to CC. It has gotten so bad, that I had to turn my monitor around at work so no one could see what I'm doing. One day, a friend came by and said, "you must be working on a BIG project, I've heard you pounding away at the keys for hours". True, but little did she know that I was on CC looking at cakes and reading and responding to posts! At home, when I watch TV with my DH, I have my laptop right where it should be...on my lap....looking at cakes and reading and responding to posts on CC! Oh well, what's the song say........"If lovin' you is wrong, I don't want to be right" That's me!!! Cake on fellow CCers!

I have now turned a non-baker into a lurker. Right before lunch, a co-worker who lives in another state called but I said he had to be quick, another co-worker and I were going to go sign up for a cake decorating class. (Wilton fondant and gumpaste) So, he finds out that I've made some cakes and he wanted pictures. I go to my photos and send him the link and then, while he has me on the phone, he started looking at photos of eveyone's cake and he was BLOWN AWAY! He saw something about cake addiction and I mentioned cake porn and he thought it was great!

We might have a new addict that isn't even a baker/decorator.

have become enablers I love it! "You know who is having a birthday? She/He would just love one of your cakes Mom " " Any new recipes?" " What are you going to try today?" With laptop on counter I search... and become oh so excited when I see the number of thread pages have gone up since I was on 5 minutes ago.

Well, I'm just starting (As I say in all my posts) and so far my family loves me. We get a cake a week, and we all sit eat cake and then they attack... Try this, next time do that. Its all great fun, but my house is starting to fall apart. Between, Freecycle, Myspace, and CC I'm ALWAYS on the computer!!!

Ok I just looked up the steps to admitting your addiction and it almost seems as though in order to go through a 12 step program you just need to be addicted to the program..."Essentially, the 12 steps involve admitting an addiction, seeking fellowship and support from others with a similar additiction, committing to help other addicts, making restitution with those who were also harmed by addictive behaviors and in many cases, asking for spiritual reconcilliation and direction."
