I seem to recall reading that MMF can be attached directly to a warm cookie or w/ corn syrup when cooled...is this correct? Once the MMF has been applied to the cookie can I freeze them? Any assistance would be appreciated.

Yes you can apply it to a warm cookie or 'glue' it with corn syrup. You can also use a tiny brush of water on the back of the fondant to make it stick to the cookie.

Yes, they can be frozen after the fondant is applied. defrost in the container in the fridge to reduce condensation.
