Is strawberry cake considered perishable? how long can I keep a cake like this on the freezer before using it? once it is covered in fondant will it hold up in the regular refrigerator? I wouldn't freeze fondant....

help!

A cake with strawberry puree baked in the batter doesn't require refrigeration.

Cakes can be successfully frozen for months...although I've never had one last that long.

Fondant covered cakes can be refrigerated, just be sure not to touch any spots of condensation (which will evaporate on their own) or else you'll have spots.
