Hi All!
I have been searching and can't find the answer to my question.
here goes......
Can I paint on modeling choclate? i am making it out of white choclate and would like to paint it gold or silver using petal dust and extract. Will it adhere? Any help is appreciated! Thanks, SugarLand
Yes, I've painted it before with no problem. The knight on my red dragon cake is painted modeling chocolate....
It's in my photos.... here's a link:

Hi!
I have also painted on modeling chocolate. I had no problems. I just let the chocolate get a little dried out first and it worked fine. I have a cake in my pictures, it's the yellow and green petal one. I used pearl dust too.
here is a link also: hope it works http://www.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=1204942
I have done painting on FOndant but not on modelling chocolate.. I would imagine it is the same way. Is it sliperry to paint ? what would be the consistency of the paint for it to stay ?
I painted Gold on this using a stencil and the other one all different colors.: But both on Fondant.. I would love to try on modelling choc
There is the knight! That looks really good! so do the others! I am excited about this! woo hoo! Thanks everyone for your help!
AI've painted on modeling choc before and its always a huge pain. My problem is the coloring/lemon juice mix I paint with seems to bead up on modeling choc. Unlike painting on fondant or gum paste it paints smooth and perfect. If anyone knows how to fix this problem it wouldbe great. I have an order to fill with sculptuted people that need painted and I really dont like making detailed object with fondant. Thanks a bunch!
