I need to make a cake shortly that will have an ice rink and would like to know if anyone has any ideas for the rink ice. I was wondering if there is a recipe I could use to make a clear candy coating for the top of the cake that would simulate the look of ice? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Have never work with candy before.

There are people who make the bottles with the sugar...I think you could find a hard candy recipe and instead of coloring it you could pour it out on like a jellyroll type pan and let it cool... unstick it and put it on the cake
