There are so many great cakes posted in this forum that I haven't seen yet! I just wish I had time to look at ALL of them. With all these pages I don't have time to click everyone's links to see those that have to upload to be seen. I'll have to try to open a few now and a few later when I get more time . Here's my Favorite. ( I couldn't make up my mind or I would have done 2 or 3 actually... but I couldn't figger' out how to do the 'collage' thang. Image

wgoat5- I LOVE your cake!!
Here's my favorite... It's Thomas the Tank Engine. I bought Debbie Brown's Favourite Character Cakes to try her Thomas cake, and then I read through it and realized I was WAY out of my league! So I settled on an FBCT with the Thomas face from the book... http://www.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=1219649

I feel so inadequate when I look at the cakes on this site. LOL

It's hard to choose a favorite because you get so darned attached to these cakes after you spend so many hours with them! icon_lol.gif

This would have to be my favorite because my 5yo designed it himself for his birthday last year. And because I proved to myself I could make fondant figures. icon_wink.gif

These are all so awesome! Wow...

The first one was for my Super Duper 8 year old Nephew Jaylen...Superman fan! Thanks to someone here on CC (sorry the name escapes me right now) for the wonderful inspiration and help with carving the abs! My first carved cakes

My second carved cake (done during the same week as the first) was the NY cap. The clients hubby teared up when he saw it.
Thanks to Elisa Straus from Confetti cakes for the inspiration and support with that one wonderful staff over there (been wanting to try it for the last year when I got the Cookbook). Thanks as well to a few CC's for added help.

It has been a while since I had this much fun making a cake...Bronwen Weber is a trip, and we made these in her class, then I droe it home from Kansas City. It was a blast to make! 2 feet tall clown cake on an armature.

What a talented bunch!!

I have chosen my jungle cake because it turned out better than I expected (second time trying to tier.) This is probably the most time consuming cake I have done so far. It was very well received.

This has to be my current fav because it took me forever and I do mean forever, to do. I would say at least 30 hrs.

My Ramlin Wreck Car Cake

I was so happy when I was done and they loved it, so that makes it all worthwhile.

Wow there are so many amazing cakes!
My favorite cake so far is my suspended sugar beer bottle. My bottle turned out much better than my first try at making them.

My other favorite is the Bob the Builder cake I made for my son's 3rd bday because he planned out what he wanted on it at least a month prior!

Mindywith3boys, are you serious? Not in the same league? icon_eek.gif That cake is awesome! If you hadn't told me it was a cake, I would've thought you served your DS a fish for his birthday. icon_lol.gif

As of late...this one is my favorite. It was one I wanted to do again, and did it up for one of our pastor's wives. He ordered it for her for Mother's Day, so I went all out on it. It's rare that I actually LOVE a cake I've done, so here it is!

I have a coupe of cakes that I'm really pleased with, but didn't get much of a look at. Maybe they aren't really that good, but then I'm still new at this. I'm not even sure how to attach the cakes here to show you, but one is a Mushroom castle cake for my youngest daughter and the other is a villa I did for my parent's anniversary. If I figure out the attachment thing I will add them...................

My absolute favorite is my Darth Vader cake. It was really fun to make, it came out really well and it was the first time my husband who up until then has been rather luke warm about my cake obsession got really excited about the cake I was making. Makes me want more orders like that!

So I really don't belong here icon_rolleyes.gif but.....I am proud of these cakes.
This one was my final first class cake and it took forever to make all of those flowers. Oh my gosh! icon_eek.gif
http://www.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=1217707

My newest favorite cake was the one I did as my final cake for the fondant and gumpaste class. I just fell in love with the simplicity of it I think. It's only my second fondant covered cake.

http://www.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=1223654

So like I said I can't compare with you all. I can only hope that one day I'll get there! icon_biggrin.gif
I do wish I had a picture of my purse cake it's my only carved cake ever and it holds a special place in my heart. Unfortunately, that's the weekend my camera broke. icon_cry.gif [/url]
