ntertayneme, I was looking at your photos and I was wondering how you made the gumpaste tulips...my daughter's favorite flower is tulips. I would love for you to share your instructions with me.

Mrs. Missey if I too could get the instructions, [email protected] .. Thank you so much.I just started to try gumpaste flowers and I like it but I am limited in the flowers I had instructions on..so again thank you
I am winding down from the wedding season and resting b4 the winter rush hits ..( although we do tend to unexpectedly get hit in the fall and have 10 weddings) and I am making use of my free time. I am making flowers everyday! Practicing RI and gumpaste and others that I can store. I am not too good yet but am getting there! Will post some pics later from the shop when I am taking a break!
To answer sherryb's question....
They're made with gumpaste and I used the Wilton individual rose cutter (it's the pink one, not from the green set they sell). I rolled them out from side to side widening each petal making it cup.. I used the largets lily nail lined with foil and I laid 3 petals inside the lily nail.. there will be gaps between the 3 petals.. I used about a teaspoon of meringue powder and a 1/4 cup of water... I mixed that well and used a small artist brush to paint a very light coat of the meringue mixture on the first set of petals in the lily nail before placing the next set of petals ... then I did 3 more petals, widening/cupping them as stated before and I laid those in the gaps between the other petals ... this will help them to stick to each other and not fall apart... after it dries completely, I tinted some royal icing yellow and using a star tip (about 18 or 19), I made the centers in each crocus ... I put 3 stamens in the center of each flower.
Hope this helps and if you make them and they come out beautifully for you!
I would love to have the instructions also - tulips are my sisters favorite flower! [email protected]
Ntertayneme is everyone talking about the small tulips you showed me or the large tulips I showed you? Just wondering? I haven't made any flowers other then the roses since our DOS. I am surely going to make tulips for Feb!! Have you made any of the large ones I showed you? I've been too busy with roses~ LOL
