Hey everyone...i am wanting to start making these chocolate molded pretzel sticks that come in different designs for wedding favors/treats/gifts...and i am wondering how much to charge per pretzel that is wrapped in clear plastic wrapping...here is a link to the picture of what they look like....

I make a variety of them and charge anywhere from $0.75 to $2.00. It really depends on the area and what they are covered with. I have some that are covered with chocolate and cashews...which range a bit higher. I can buy a large bag of the pretzels for $0.99 that has about 4 dozen in it. So I just look at the extras. Everyone is different. Hope this helps in some way.
There is a local candy store here that sells these for about 1.50 each. Granted, they aren't molded, just hand dipped. HTH
I sell "lots" dipped pretzels. I actually dip the pretzel rod in caramel, let set up, then dip in chocolate and top with one of the following toppings, mini peanut butter chips, a butter pecan mixture, toasted coonut, mini m&m's,toffee chips and anything else that looks good. I place the pretzel rod in a pretzel bag w/bow on top and charge $1.50.

For a dipped pretzels with sprinkles or drizzles I charge $1.25 in a bag. For a molded pretzel I charge $2.50. They are kind of a PITA and take a lot longer than dipped and more chocolate.

that is very cheap for pretzels. I can't find those prices here. I either buy the small bags at the grocery store and they cost a few dollars and at least 1/3 of the bag is broken or I buy tubs from Staples which are around $6 for 80 maybe.
I agree that it depends a lot on the area of the country you live in. But I think $1.50 - $3.00 would be what I would pay here. I've actually seen them as much as $5.00 for one, which I think is kind of a lot.
I also have put a big marshmallow on the end then dipped in chocolate, and then decorated, a good one for the kids
i've seen these moulds but have not purchased them as i've never seen the pretzels themselves... is there an online store that sells them and ships to canada? or some place in alberta that sells them? i really have never seen the giant pretzels. i'd like to try them.

AHi, i was wondering what the item name was for the tubs from staples. It sounds great $6 for 80 pretzel tubs. Please let me know, thanks!
I have a couple of the pretzel molds (which are available on wilton.com) and geckogirl is right, they are labor intensive and very fussy. I have done both the dipped and the molded. I can do 40 or 50 of the dipped ones in the time it takes me to do about a dozen of the molded ones and then I am often unhappy with the neatness of the molded ones. I do not have any idea how to price them as i usually don't sell my stuff. and I have never seen them in a shop. There is a catalog of gifts I get in the mail (Lakeshore Collection) that sells a tub of 20 dipped pretzel rods for $12.00 before S/H. These are completely covered in chocolate, I always only dip about half of the rod. HTH
.
Hello, i'm just trying to get ideas from where to buy pretzel rods. I saw someone post a website, webstaurantstore.com is this a legit company from where you can order supplies? What are some good places where you can go to an actual store and buy them yourself? I know Walmart sells them, but I need pretzel bags that are big and not the small ones. Please let me know, thanks!
Yes, the company is a legit. I'm not sure who would sell big bags of pretzel rods. I usually just buy them from my grocery store and 5 bags is about 6 bucks.
