great point!

That's a gorgeous cake! I bet the officer loved it, too. I can never get a blue that color. Very clean work - well done!

Nice work!! I know how difficult it is not to get any comments on
your cakes. It's like I said earlier, we have a couple million
members and quite often many are posting their cakes at the
same time so some just don't get shown or if they do, it's only
for a few minutes or so. So don't take it to heart, just know
that your work is really good and keep on making cakes!!! icon_smile.gif

This cake is hysterical and you did an awesome job with it.

You need to go into your ''profile'' and check the block that
allows members to post comments on your cakes. I tried
to leave a comment on it and then checked a few more of
your cakes. Your work is great so please change your
setting to allow us to let you know how much we love your
creations!!! icon_smile.gif

Thank you!! I thought she would be fun to do as we all could use
some help cleaning up our ''messes''. icon_smile.gif

I still can't post comments on your cakes. Are you going to change
your Profile ''preference'' to 'yes' to allow comments to your cakes?
I hope you do, your work is great. Remember to click ''submit'' after
you make any changes to your profile. icon_smile.gif

I agree with this comment completely! I had a Father's Day cake my DH said not to bother posting. It got way more Faves than a Mother's Day with bird's nest and sugar flowers... and a bridal shower cupcake/cake display that DH said was my "best ever".

I guess the moral of this story is my dear darling DH may not be my best cake judge... icon_rolleyes.gif

Edited to add: I used to like when the thumbnails at the top showed current holiday cakes like Valentine's, July 4th etc. *and* the All Time Favorites. It always was fun to see some I may have missed originally.

Here's a cake that I made recently, I'm really proud of this one, the photos don't show it in all its glory (using my iPhone... I should probably invest in a camera xD). I think the fact I live in the UK means I post at completely the wrong time to get any notice, comments appreciated icon_smile.gif

your ''profile'' and check the block that allows members to post
comments on your cakes. Without this, it doesn't matter what
time it is that you post!!!!!!!
I think your little bear cake is adorable and you did a nice job
making the plaque too. icon_smile.gif

I worked for hours on this one. I post alot on the weekends, so that may be why I don't get alot of comments, etc. It's no big deal though. I try and tag with all that I can so they'll show up in searches.

There are many, many beautiful cakes posted on CC. I miss alot of the new ones being posted. I come upon some of them when I am searching for something specific. I try to go into the most recently uploaded and check out the new ones when I get a chance. We have an amazing amount of talent here.

The settings seem to be correct, "Allow other members to post comments on my photos:
Setting this to "YES" will allow other registered members to post comments under your photos." I have this set to yes, and have other comments on other pictures. Hope people can post comments, I like constructive criticism icon_smile.gif

Thanks for your comments cakes47!

This is a great thread, love seeing cakes I missed, and all the talent...nice to see a variety when you're not having to look for something specific!
Here's one cake that I spent a lot of time on, and unfortunately the details don't show up well on the black fondant, but I enjoyed handpainting the cover of the book...I think maybe no one searches for this type of cake, lol! icon_smile.gif

Oh I'm loving this tread...

I made this cake and was so happy with it, no big details or anything but its swiss meringue buttercream and sometimes I feel I work twice as hard to make these cakes as smooth and square as possible, so I was looking for some luvin too... icon_smile.gif It is a seamless cake so I thought it was extra difficult to make... thanks
