Here is one I did a few months ago...it was my first carved cake so I was really proud of it, especially because the recipient loved it so much.

Wow Daisy1993, can I be your mom? None of my kids are interested in cakes. icon_cry.gif Is your mom a cake decorator or is it just your thing? Your work is awesome!

On another note, I'd lovvvvve for anyone to take a look at my last posted pic. It's a Chessboard w/fresh fruit chess pieces. It never made it to the front page last night. icon_cry.gif

cocobean!! That is sooooo cute!! I never would have thought of that.

Here's another one of mine... Mine aren't even hitting the front page when I upload them. It's a little disheartening...

OMG icon_eek.gif Do you think I have nothing but time on my hands??! LOL icon_biggrin.gif

I am going to love going through these pages, incl the 11 pages on the original thread. I love it when I come across a cake artist I haven't seen on here before!

Here is my contribution to my cakes that got the least views. I wish I would've posted a different angle as you can't really tell that the middle tier is hanging slightly off of the bottom tier. It was so fun to try this structure! I get requests for that off-set style a lot, now. (I saw it done by Lindy Smith).

icon_lol.gif No, my sister is the one who got me interested in it and ever since I found CC I have made amazing progress.

Can I post a couple too? These are my 'under 30 views' but I was happy with how they had turned out.
This one I had downloaded a bunch of different flower pics and wanted to see if I could make them out of buttercream, I actually tried filming it to make another video but I dropped my camera and it erased everything!

And this was so much fun to do, my father-in-law went around the party asking people if they had seen the cake!!

I really loved how this one came out, the table was too small but the display came out beautiful in my opinion.

AND it was my final large wedding cake of the year. Woo hoo.

I was slightly dissappointed when I spent some time on this cake that I think turned out pretty cool I oly got one comment on it. I guess I just feel that it deserved more attention. I havent seen many cakes like this and it would be awsome to get some feedback. So heres the link for it.

Here is my new cake. I uploaded it last week when CC did the server updates, so I never saw it hit the home page, although it must have later that night since it got 25 views and a comment from indydebi (which was awesome!). The rest of the comments though are from my critique group and they are kind of obligated to comment. icon_lol.gif

Even though this cake has a lot of flaws, I was proud of it because made my first fondant figures for it and I thought they came out pretty good for a first time. By the time I had uploaded my picture and gone back to the home page it had already reached the end of the line.

My favorite cake so far. My husband said he actually saw that I was enjoying myself this time instead of stressing about it icon_smile.gif. I just got a thank you card from the customer yesterday saying they loved it. Yay!

Here is my Holloween cake for today, I was very happy with the way my Witch came out, I got the instructions from the last issue of ACD, and the cat has wiskers! But you can't see them in this picture. I haven't gotten not one comment on it.

This is a wedding cake I posted last weekend. I thought it turned out really good....but not many people have looked at it or commented on it. Guess you begin to think if your cakes really look as good as you think they do. But, I guess some people just have different tastes. Anyway, I was very happy with it.

I'm so glad I found this thread. It has helped take my mind off this game my #1 Longhorns are losing icon_sad.gif.

Here is what I think is probably the best cake in my photos. Not saying it is great but for me it is good. It was added to a couple a favorites which is a first for me, but I thought it would have gotten a few more views.

You could really make my day by looking at my two recent unusual cake decorating assignments that I did for friends-
http://www.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=1276395 (A replica of SF AT&T Park & 300 cupcakes that I made) and
http://www.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=1218472 (a cake that I sculpted for a retiring plumber of a huge school district).

I would feel rewarded by your looks and even your possible vote for a "favorite". Thanks so very much. P.S.- I will be celebrating my 65th birthday this Christmas Eve. So this is from a really, really old person that just keeps trying . . . kind of like the EverReady Bunny!

Because of some reason the picture of this cake

http://www.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=1281740

didnât show up at all in the âNewest Cake Decorating Cakeâ gallery. It was a big hit at the BD party and I think it could be a good idea for a groomâs cake too.
The same had happened with this baby shower cake â I thought it was cute
