I downloaded this program and am having problems saving images to it. Has anyone used it and care to tell me what I am doing wrong?

I save it to the program and when I go in, the image will not come up where you pick out the size of the image that you want to use. It will open up on the color etc., over to the right but it puts multiple images on the sheet.

Can someone tell me how this thing works...the help menu is no help at all icon_cry.gif

TIA thumbs_up.gif

This doesn't happen for me. When I click on the left for "images" I get a choice of places to look on the right. I browse to my artwork directory, click on that, and then I get thumbnails, one-by-one in a vertical line,, on the right. As soon as I click on the thumbnail, it appears in the cake design. Then, it is sized by dragging one of the handles. How does this differ from your experience?

I tried to force it to place multiple copies by clicking it rapidly in succession, but still just placed one copy of the art. I'm not sure what's happening for you.

I got it to make multiple images by going to Backgrounds and then clicking Canvas Image Tiling. If you're just wanting to insert one image, you need to be doing that with "Pictures" as opposed to "Background."

Still playing...trying to duplicate what you're describing.

That is the ticket Crimsicle. I did the very same thing when I first used the program. I was in too much of a hurry!

I do not have the imaging button on the left. I have new design, load design, save design, background, pictures, messages, frame setup, preview, print design, help wizard, settings, website buttons.

Should I uninstall and then reinstall the program? thumbs_up.gif

this is what I do:

Click New Design

Choose paper size

Click Finish

On the left side click on pictures (close the background options if you are not going to use them)

After clicking pictures on the right side you will have the option to Browse you computer.

Locate the image you want and click on it. Only the images that are compatible will preview for you to see.

Hope this helps.

Okay, go through and write every little step you are doing and I will try to get my version to do what yours is doing to see what I do differently.

Thanks so much AlamoSweets and Crimsicle for your help icon_smile.gif

I finally got it to work by following your steps Alamo. Now, I don't have to keep resizing and printing until I get the correct size...wasted alot of ink icon_cry.gif

I've been playing with it all day icon_biggrin.gifthumbs_up.gif

So glad you got it to work. I really like the program better than the KopyKake one that doesn't really have many options. Have fun!

I didn't have much luck with the KopyKake one either but I really like Deco Edible Artist, so much easier to use.

It's usually very easy to get in and browse around. Maybe they are having problems. I know you will enjoy the program.

The link still only takes me to the front page, and I'm real excited to "look" around as they have a page called "chocolate" and I can't wait.

I would like to thank you...for sending me the link! It looks like a very COMPLETE program if I can ever get in..lol

I sent the company an email from another site that reviewed the program, let's see what happens!

I'm totally excited ! icon_lol.gif

I've tried 3 different links for them and none of them are working. Not sure what is going on. I even tried the website button on the program and it isn't working either. I'll keep trying and if I ever get in I'll let you know. Sorry everyone is having so much trouble.

I search several different ways to find a link that would open. I thought that once I read on a thread that it was the same as KopyKake but was called Deco and was in the UK. Did I dream this?

it's asking me to install the printer for the UK paper..I have to now figure out the diff sizes! AK.

but playing around with it, it seems like it's so much better than Kopy Kake!!

They should do an American Version.!!!
