Okay sorry but I couldn't get an attachment option in the "Lounge", so I'm putting this here icon_smile.gif

Okay so my husband and I got our tree last minute - Dec. 15th. But it's awesome icon_smile.gif We just went to Target and got a kit that's a bunch of ornaments and stuff all in a box - so even if you have no decorating talent at all icon_smile.gif - you can have a pretty tree!!!

So what does your tree look like? icon_smile.gif (oh by the way - my family ornaments and fun ones are hidden on the tree too icon_smile.gif )

Great Tree!!! thumbs_up.gif

My tree is special: my husband is an overseas boat captain and is home this year for Christmas - first time ever since 1979!!!
When I knew he was really coming home (about the first or second week of December), buddy I went and got a tree and all the decorations I wanted icon_lol.gif

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!! Be thankful of him/her being around all the time!!

I'm a bit odd in that I like to have themes for the tree each year. We have a traditional theme which is a bunch of odds and end ornaments collected over the years with multi color lights and then there is the gold and white tree which started the whole "themed tree obsession". I even made everyone wrap their presents in gold and white paper to match it!

I know I know but it looked gorgeous in the pictures....now the last two years I have done a red and white tree. It has lots of peppermint looking ornaments and snowmen and santas. And yes the wrapping paper has to be red and white!!!

Anyways this is the only pic of the "peppermint tree" I have this year.

What a fun thread! I am going to wait until it is dark, because that is when my tree looks prettiest. icon_biggrin.gif

Here are a couple quick photos of my tree. It is behind my couch so it was hard to get a good picture. It is actually quite pretty.

You guys trees are so pretty too. I love the little ladder!

Here's our tree. DS's presents are not all there in this picture. He's 13 and decorated the tree all by himself. Not too awful bad!

I wish I'd thought to take a picture last night with the gifts around it -- we had 29 people here for present-opening!

We put on many, many less ornaments than usual this year...thanks goodness. I think less is sometimes more...my DH thinks if they are in the box they should all be put on. He acquiesced this year and admitted that it does look better without so many.

Sorry it's sideways but I think you get the idea. This is by far the biggest tree we have ever had it's 10 feet tall. So tall that I couldn't get the topper on the top so we had to nestle it as high as we could LOL. I plan to go and raid Cracker Barrell tommorow to get some more ornaments.

Hope everyone had a blessed holiday. Say a prayer for our men and women overseas who could not be here with us today.

Merry Christmas to all.

The smell of fresh pine at Christmas is a favorite of mine as well...too bad my tree is fake! Gotta be a dark red, white and silver ornament to make it on my tree. The picture made the ornaments look alot brighter than they are.

Hope everyone has a great holiday!!!

I love all of your trees. I personally love Christmas trees. I have a fake tree. My husband isn't as into Christmas and refuses to help put a real one up so I just use a fake one. The lights are my favorite part. I change my tree colors every year. This years colors are white, silver and purple. I also match my wrapping paper to the tree colors. I am a weird o'. I say every year I am not changing my tree and then I end up changing it-lol. Here it is. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.

Everyone's trees are so pretty! Sitting in a dark room just gazing at the Christmas tree w/it's twinkling lights is one of my favorite parts of the season! icon_smile.gif Here is our tree this year. As much as I LOVE theme trees, DH doesn't like them at all, so I've got quite the mish-mash of ornaments. LOL I do think it turned out nice though.

Merry Christmas!

Since I know I'm not the only one with a fake tree(I like not having to worry about watering it everyday and I put mine up so early, the weekend of Thanksgiving) I will share my pictures. I've painted all the wood ornaments over the years.
