I had a nice long post, then my son climbed on my lap and grabbed the mouse... click, click.. goodbye. so you can thank Squishy.
I just got my first wedding cake payment!
It is my third wedding cake, is why i'm so excited about it.
The first, was for my FIL, his parents' 50th anniversary (who stiffed me ), the second i decorated as a favor for a friend, and hated it so much i didn't even take a picture. No payment for that one either... I know! I'm a rEtArD!
DH (who works with the groom) dropped off the invoice for $75 (he wanted to give him a union discount)
The next day, he shows up with $100! he just pushed the wad into DH's hand, then ran off! Dh still has to make sure that the overpayment wasn't an accident.
I'm excited anyway! They liked it!

I had my feelings all hurt about it, cuz we dropped it off, then went across the street (where my mil lives) and visited her. When we were leaving, they said they were done with the stuff, and gave it all back! (talk about turnaround!) they said it was very tasty, but one 5 year old didn't like it! I know i need a thicker skin, but i was still all upset about it!
Happy now, though!
Your cake looks great and hey whats one 5 year old with bad taste buds in a wedding crowd !!
Five year olds would never like that cake,
you didn't drop it on the ground, add a little dirt, have a friend pick it up, and wait more than 10 seconds before you fed it to him....
The cake is beautiful !!!
when DH dropped off the invoice, he jokingly told the groom that he tried to get me to add an extra butthead (not his exact word) tax. The groom thought it was really funny (thank goodness)
So when he spoke to him again to see if he paid too much on purpose, the groom said he simply included the butthead tax.
