I can't help with the stretching part, but as for attaching there are a couple of ways. The way I do mine is by placing the RBC on the cookies after they come out of the oven. I allow them to cool a couple minutes and then place the RBC on which will slightly melt and adhere to the cookie. I learned that on CC and it works great. I've also read that some people attach with corn syrup. Rub CS over the cookie and then attach RBC. I've never tried this method so I can't advice, but it seems quite a few people do it so it must work out alright. HTH.
I learned this tip from someone here on CC.....After you roll out your RBC, leave your cut outs on parchment paper and place in freezer for just a few minutes. I attach mine to the cooled cookie with a brush of light corn syrup...works every time!
Thanks for posting this! I was just looking for ideas on how to attach mmf to cookies, this will work great! I used bc on these...it took forever.
One idea to help with the 'stretching' is to roll out the fondant or rbc on a vinyl mat. stick your hand under the mat as your lifting up your cut-out. It's not fool-proof but it helps and its sure quick! Oh..I LOVE vinyl for rolling out anything and everything! Got a yard and a half for $1.77 in the craft section at Wally World (aka-Walmart!)
