I made my first pumpkin roll a couple months ago and it was a hit! I have thought about selling these as well, but I'm just not sure what to charge. I was thinking with pecans $18 and without pecans $16. Then I asked a few friends what they would pay for one and they said probably no more than $15. They are fast & easy to make, but I think it's the ingredients that end up costing more and why I feel like I need to charge more. What do ya'll think? Thanks in advance!

I just take my cost and multiply by 3 to cover the cost. Remember, doing that you are also covering the cost to bake, clean up, pan and time to do all of it. Don't cut yourself short. I charge $20 for one. I am doing a yule log for someone and I am charging $25 to cover the ganache on it and it is basically the samething.

yeah..now I feel like I'm short changing myself...I just sold one today for $12. But I usually just multiply cost by 3 and that does come out to 12...

I don't like to make them for sale, anymore. I used to charge $8.00 but it was really like going through trouble for nothing. People found my price too high, so I prefer doing them strictly for family events or here at home.

One thing I've learn over the years selling vegetables and baked goods at the Farmer Markets is Price High, you can always come down, if you price low its hard to raise your prices, just a suggestion.

I'd pay $20, if it is good like you said, people will pay the price.

I'd say $10-15 personally. Definitely wouldn't go for less, but would be nice to get more.

although this post is almost ten years old too so the prices quoted are too old really to compare to today --

but on a little different pumpkin tangent -- i've seen some of the magazines at the grocery store already pumping out the pumpkin recipes already and i'm trying real hard not to get tired of it like i did last year -- pumpkin this pumpkin that -- pumpkin jello and pumpkin cola , pumpkin yogurt, pumpkin brisket, pumpkin watermelon, pumpkin burgers, pumpkin fries, omg i got a little cranky with it kwim hahahaha
