Does anyone know if you could mix popcorn, peanuts and almond bark to make like a smack mix. This sounds good to me but I don't know if the almond bark will stay on the popcorn or if it will make it turn soggy...anybody have a good recipie?
I did something similar a couple of years ago. I just spread the popcorn in pretty much a single layer on cookie sheets. Then, I put candy melts in holiday colors in bags and piped strings all over them. It was very festive, and people loved it. I didn't think it was all that terrific, taste-wise, but it was a hit.
Sure I use the white almond bark, peanut butter (1/2 cup), peanuts and popcorn. Just mix together and spread onto wax paper till hard. It is so good but soooooo addicting.
Do you coat the popcorn completly or do you drizzle the mixture on top of the popcorn . also do you mix a whole package of almond bark with the pb or what? Thanks
Mine was maybe half coated. But, that's certainly not to say you couldn't totally coat yours. Try a few and see what you think!
Sounds good to me too. I used to use popped popcorn in place of the Rice Krispies in Rice Krispy treats and then used to mixture to mold in Lamb and Bunny molds for Easter. A different taste, but kind of good too.
I used a whole package of the almond bark. Melted it in the microwave. Stirred in 1/2 c pb. Then poured it over 2 bags popped pocorn and 1 c peanuts. Mixed till it was all coated then spread onto wax paper to dry.
