WOOHOO!!! Only 5 days left at Wallymart.
I have finally decided that I needed to be in a place where I can let myself have fun with the frosting. Not to mention learning from the ground up about the bakery business from a pure "bakery" format.
Ladies and gents, I am proud to announce that I will be working for a small bakery in town and will be able to have all kinds of fun with fondant gumpaste and all kinds of stuff. Bake the cakes etc. etc. etc. I am soooo excited. (bet you couldn't tell) hehehe!!
I get to go n work this Friday Morning (dang 3 am sure does come early in the morning) and my last day at wallymart is Wed the 20th. I can't wait OMG OMG OMG!!!

squeeze them dry of knowledge!! tee hee!
Congrats!
Wow that is great. But 3am? UGH! Better have a big pot of coffee after the excitement wears off. Best of luck to you!
Good luck in your new adventure. From the horror stories I have been hearing from my friends who work at Walmart, you are getting out at a good time. The way they treat their employees is despicable.
You will get used to 3 a.m. My problem with early hours was getting my friends and family used to it. When I tried a nap in the afternoon, they wouldn't leave me alone.

Congratulations!!! You will love going to work at 3 am. No traffic, no customers to bug you and there is such a feeling of calm and peace at that time of the morning. I have worked 7pm to 7am for almost 20 years and I love it. Just turn your phone off or don't have one in the bedroom when you go to sleep.
Good luck!
Oh how fun would that be!! Our small local bakery is going up for sale, I eat there alot (they have lunch too) but I told them I had gotten into baking myself. She asked if I was interested in buying her half out. But they do lunch, sandwiches, soup and mostly donuts. SOme cookies and cakes. But not my ideal. Plus I like doing it from home for privacy and because I enjoy it. I dont want it to be a JOB right now. I have a 3 yr old and are pregnant now too!!! So not in the cards for me now, but GOOD LUCK and enjoy it!
Congratulations and good luck! Please keep us posted on how its going and teach us what you are learning.

Congratulations!!!! I have to agree with Sundine2, working at night or early morning is the best. I've worked 7pm to 7am for years as well and just love my "me" time without anyone around. My days off I'm up around 2-3am and can get my baking done while DH sleeps so he doesn't bug me. You'll get used to it.
I am just grinch green with envy!!!!!
But tell us all your new secrets!!!!!
AND DEFF CONGRATS TO YA!
you know, the walmart i worked at wasn't that bad. the cake decorators could do whatever they wanted to the cakes, we got whatever time off that we wanted...
so really, it's only some stores that treat the employees badly.
but i'm happy for your excitement.
hooray!
cake or death!
