My cakes have been really dry on the corners. The middle and sides are fine but the corners are horrible. Any suggestions?

Some people brush the edges with simple syrup or preserves, etc. Somethign like that to soften it up. HTH!

Is there any way the temp might be a little too high in the oven? I know the oven my mother had was off by about 16 degrees. Might be worth checking.
