So I have to apologize. The person who wanted the give away cake was a legal business. But it is a brand new one, not even open. So there was no way I would know about it.

Anyways, the wedding show people are probably going to give it to me. They have made numerous calls to her, asking what she wanted to donate and she is not returning their calls. So I'll know by this afternoon.

Either way, I'm in print advertising. They are letting me donate the "bridal shower/stagette" cake if I can't do the wedding cake.

i think that it's great that the other business is legal & that the organization behind this didn't go against your city/county's guidelines.

thank you for realizing that you could have let this go & not told us the outcome but you were a better person than that...you let us know you were wrong about this person's legal status, even though the county had told you differently. i know that it might not have been easy to update, but we all make mistakes

The show organizers just phoned. "she" wants the wedding cake. But I have taken all the other spots. So I'm doing the wedding shower cake, the stagette, and the gift opening desserts.

So my name will be seen 3 times in the program And for less money than donating the wedding cake
