I was thinking of a cake disaster of the past yesterday.
When I was a wedding photographer, there was a TTTAAAALLLLLLL
wedding cake. Tallest I have ever seen.
Well, after lots of pics, got the cutting, toasting etc. (thank God)
I turned my back and heard CRASH!!!!!
It had toppled over right into the punch bowl and everywhere!
Bride had punch on her.
She was crying. She wouldn't let me take a picture (I guess cause she was crying)
But everyone else was taking pics.
Her relative had made the cake.
I just couldn't imagine how bad she felt.
But at least we got the cake pics first.
Maybe Tall Tall cakes are not a good idea...Duh, ya think?

That's terrible!!!! Where are you from in Oklahoma? I grew up in Lawton.

How very sad for the bride. But there surely is a lesson to be learned. Either, the cake is properly supported or NO TALL cakes. Did any one see any humor in the mess? I sure hope so.

Oh I hope the bride laughed later - I would have!
