Sometime this summer I heard about a CC'r who had just opened or was about to open a cake shop just a ways over the Missouri line from me. I have Warrensburg circled in my atlas but no name in the margin so I have no idea now who it was. (Yes, I'm creating a CC'r map) I would like to contact this member and find out exactly where she's located. My sis and I are up for some day trips and cake shops are a favored target and we like BIG pieces of cake. Soo, if this is YOU or you can direct me please speak up. I want to meet some ccr's darn it!! I'm all alone here....LOL!

Is warrensburg near the arkansas line? I'm always looking for cake shops. I'm in the planning stages of opening one in bentonville.

No Warrensburg is SE of KC, not all that far east of the Kansas line.

Hippiemama, tell me once again please where you are in MO. I'll put you on my caker map. It'd take me a little over an hour to drive to Warrensburg from here, but I have to know where this place is. I'm kicking myself for not remembering who it was that opened this shop, cause I planned to drive over with my sis as soon as we had the chance. Darn!

Okay I was WRONG!!!!! I have poured thru all my watched topics and finally found what I was looking for. This shop is not in Warrensburg, it's in Harrisonville, MO. And that's even closer to me. Vivedcreations (Melissa) posted about it with pics way back in June. There aren't any finished shop pics posted so I pm'd her to see if she's open for business. If so my sis and I are going to run over there one Saturday soon. And if she doesn't serve cake by the slice guess we'll have to get a whole one. I'm real excited about meeting a cc'r and one with her own place to boot. I'm thrilled for any/all of you who have your own shops. I wish you all the business you can/want to handle.

Brandi, She's not open on Sunday or Mondays. She's open 9:00 am 6:00 pm Tuesday thru Saturday.

Hey CarolAnn! I guess I messed Melissa's post about the shop in Harrisonville. I'm just up the road a piece in Lee's Summit and will have to see about taking that short drive out to see her.

At this point I don't have anything next week and may just drive down and admire her shop.

Well if I ever get over there to fish I might look you up to say hey. Ihave friends here who go there all the time, and a neighbor who has their trailer parked there year round. Ahhhhh.......the lucky ducks!

Hippiemama...I was just down in your neck of the woods over the weekend. My 2nd daughter got married.....so had to take the cake with me...froze it and then put it together at my sister's house in Springfield. I live southeast of St. Louis....so it was a 3 and 1/2 hour drive. Made it and it all went together well. My son taught 5th grade there in Lebanon last year.....he's teaching in Springfield this year. I have a small cake shop/kitchen attached to my home....set up legal with the health dept., here in Farmington.
