Ok so this is only a so-so disaster, BUT I no longer have an oven... icon_cry.gif . So Saturday i planned to make this Peanut Butter cake with Chocolate Chunky Peanut Butter filling and cream cheese frosting, topped with butterfingers....i did up the bater, but it in the oven...so on and so on and well my cakes took FOREVER to bake... icon_confused.gif ...didn't think much of it as the cake batter was thicker then i'm used to...(even my fiancee thought it was thick, he thought i was making frosting when he first saw it)...so whatever...the cakes finally finish...flip them out of pans and the bottom of the cake weren't quite done...so i scrapped the undone part off...assembled cake...went to frost it, and FOR THE LIFE OF ME, i could not get the frosting to stay...the frosting IMHO was more of a filling rather then a frosting...it just kept sliding down the cake, creating a pooled ring of frosting around the bottom of the cake... icon_mad.gif ...even after refidgerating the cake it still slide...so to help cover up the cake showing through the frosting i melted a lil of the filling and drizzled it over the edge of the cake and let it drip down....so i got the cake decorated...looks fine to me, but now i know to use a diff cream cheese frosting...SO then i decided to bake some cookies also...made the dough...put it on cookie sheets, put them in the oven, set timer to 10 min...came back to check on them...and they were still in balls of dough and barely even melted icon_eek.gificon_confused.gif WTF???....scream to my fiancee "i think something is wrong with the oven"....Turns out i somehow burnt out the bottom heating element thingy... icon_mad.gificon_mad.gificon_mad.gif ...so i call MIL who lives blocks away and asked her if i could borrow her oven...So i ran over the cookies and remaining dough (still on cookie sheets icon_razz.gif ) and baked them there. Came back to find my fiancee has tried to fix the oven him self...or see if anything further was wrong....and well he almost electrocuted himself by short circuiting wires....sooooo now the whole stove/oven doesn't work...at all.... icon_cry.gif ...at least now i think i know what the culprit was to my cakes taking forever to bake...

Here is the link to my finished cake in my photos, if anyone wants to see it

I do feel your pain! Mine decided to die on me, Friday night while making dinner. icon_cry.gificon_cry.gif But my oven is so old, I think it was the one Noah used in the ark.

BTW, the cake sounds and looks yummy!
