a lady from my church just called me. she has a co-worker who was needing a cake by this afternoon. i have never made a cake for people i do not know. the story is her pastors wife is coming from hospice today, recovering from the last stages of cancer. so she had ask anyone at the office if they knew who could make a cake, because that's all the pastors wife wanted was a chocolate on chocolate cake. very simple, she just wants a round cake with chocolate icing. i would like to decorate a little though. any suggestions? i am going to start baking. usually i know what i am going to do ahead of time, and know what the person wants the cake to look like....

Can you make any flowers? Some simple flowers or some scrollwork would look nice. You could even make a pattern with dots all over the cake.
