They have silver, gold, and pearl here. They are edible, but hard as a rock! "Edible BB's" is what we call them. Sometimes you can find them in the grocery stores, I found mine for $2/box (small). Avoid biting these!

Unfortunatley the Silver ones are illegal in California pending some sort of legal action.

I have gone on-line to try to order them and they say they can't ship to CA icon_sad.gif

I get mine from The Baker's Kitchen. They have a variety of sizes in silver, gold and multi color.

The craft store where I buy almost all of my cake decorating supplies has pulled all dragees from the shelf. They posted a note that said the dragees are not considered edible, and therefore they won't be selling them anymore. I've used them a couple times, but avoid them because they are so hard. My luck, someone would chip a tooth and sue me!

Here is an article of why they can't be purchased in California. Some lawyer had to much time on his hands....

I bought these these here and yes they are considered a non-food item here, but non toxic. I have used them on cakes before. I get them at my cake store that I shop and they are expensive there. I will tell you that when they sit on the cake from the night before they actually soften and are not as hard as when they come from the box. I like the look on the cake but don't use them to often.

Shoot, I know a little store that still sells them. Maybe I'll have to go get some!
