I've read many posts about hi-ratio shortening, but haven't ever bought any for 2 reasons: didn't want to buy 50lb if I didn't like it and I live in a small town and no one sells it (or so I thought).

I stopped in a local Amish store this am after taking my daughter to school and they sell it in small amounts (bought a lb just to try it). Well I made a batch of frosting (used cakeman's recipe from the recipe section here) and I really liked it. Didn't have any of the new Crisco problems that I've been plagued by. It was so creamy and crusted very well. This is what I'll be using from now on! thumbs_up.gif
