Your cake is very nice........NOT ugly. Like most others who have mentioned it I would have been in tears too. I'm sure she had someone else in mind to make the cake and the bride didn't cooperate thus the very rude comments.
Definately you did the right thing w/your e-mail to the bride. You must let us know how this situation pans out.

I think your cake was beautiful and personally I think it looked under-priced!

Being a bit of a smarty pants myself I would have had to comment on her "You get what you pay for" remark with "Yeah, I guess the same goes with wedding coordinators too."

You did a great job regardless of what the coordinator thinks. All that matters is that you and the bride are happy. No one else matters!
