Is there a way to fix a crack in the middle of a 9 x 13 cake? Or should I just bake another one? icon_sad.gif

I have a feeling the crack will cause the icing to crack in the same section. Is this a cake just for family, or one you are charging for? I guess I feel for the family I could get away with it, for a customer I don't want to send out anything that I am not proud of. I want my family to be proud of my work as well, but most of them would just be happy I made a cake for them. If you are trying to build up a business by word of mouth you don't want to send out a cake with a crack in it.

depends on what your planning to do with it....how are you going to decorate it??? there are definatly ways to fix or "hide" cracks in cakes...
