Cake Central has cured me of my fondantphobia!!

I made my first batch of MMF this weekend, and it came out pretty well. I used it lastnight on a cake, and it worked! I didn't even have to put it in the microwave to soften it. I'm so excited! I won't post a photo of it because it doesn't look anywhere near as nice as all of yours, but I didn't get a major seam or the tears that I usually do. It was so much easier to make than any other fondant recipe I've tried, and it also tastes better than Wilton fondant!

Just had to share my excitement! Thanks for curing me! Now, I'll try to use fondant a little more often! icon_biggrin.gif

Post it! Post it! We love seeing each others trials! I need to try MMF. The cake supply store I use just raised it's price on their pettinice, again!

Yeaaaa!!! I wish you would post a pic. The cakes in your gallery are really good. Marshmellow fondant is really easy to work with.

Maybe I'll post one later. Right now, it's just a six inch cake with white MMF on it--not much to look at. I'm taking it to a fondant class tonight where I'm supposed to decorate it. If it turns out OK, I'll post it. Thanks for the compliments!
