Our family has a lake house in Keystone. Small world!
About the cake club... I've seen it mentioned in my ICES newsletter so I think they still do.

Hi Peacock, maybe you are the right person to ask.... what do you do to get an ICES newsletter, do you have to be a member? If so... is it really hard? I'm really not familiar with anything ICES but would love to know more. Thanks! icon_biggrin.gif

You have to be a member to get one. It's pretty simple. Just go their website to sign up and then pay dues.

There is a civic center rental building with kitchen on Peoria in Orange Park next to the fire station that is large enough to meet. Just in case no other place can be located. They do have a small charge though.

Sweetcakes....I live in Mandarin off Old St Augustine Rd. I know everyone is planning a day of sharing in March. I believe it's on the 24th...unfortunately, I will be unable to attend that one. I will be delivering a wedding cake to Jupiter, FL. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone. I did attend a meeting for the Jax Cake club back in July. They were meeting in a Church off Lee Rd. I left my name for them to contact me with updated events, but I have not heard back from anyone since my visit. Now that i've moved to Mandarin, it is quite a hike for me to go to one. I like the idea of something being down close to me.

Hope to meet everyone real soon!!

Ok. I finally got my computer to accept cookies from yahoo so I can read the group stuff. I'm not sure if I can make it or not. My SIL has a lot of wedding stuff happening that weekend. I was just wondering if you guys are planning to do anything, or just meet? Keep me posted.

It was fuuuuun! 6 of us made it, Parable, Tincanbaby and myself from CC and then 3 other very nice ladies that joined through yahoo groups. Tincanbaby showed us how to make some gumpaste flowers, daisy, calla lily and carnation. Shared some pictures and tried out some new toys as well. Hope more of you can make it next time!

Hi Jax ladies. I'm bumping this thread from months ago to find out which of you might be coming to the Sugar Artists Guild meeting tomorrow night. woo hoo!

I'm sorry I never joined the yahoo group that this thread inspired, but I don't have a yahoo account. However, I'm really looking forward to meeting those of you who are going to be there.

I was going to bump my post from a few months ago where I was trying to get the word out about our very first meeting. No one ever responded to that thread and I was so bummed! How many times can you bump your own thread before you look like a Loser?! icon_smile.gif

Anyway, looking forward to seeing you tomorrow night, and if you need more details check out the website at www.sagnfl.com.

much love!
