Hi everyone,

Back in June/July there was a thread started by Merissa asking for anyone who had made a cake that they were really proud of and thought should have received more comments to post a link onto the thread so all of us could not only be encouraged by those who comment on our "undernoticed cakes" but could also encourage others by commenting on their "undernoticed cakes". The thread lasted a long time in fact it was 25 pages long when it ended...I was sooo sad when the thread died. So now hearing other people talking about their "undernoticed cakes" I would like to start the thread again with the same topic name Merissa gave it.

So thanks Merissa for the great idea and I hope this one last just as long as yours did...you go girl! thumbs_up.gif

I agree completely that a LOT of cakes go "under-noticed" here ~ and I'm still just a "looker" and not a "poster" lol. I posted these threads over the weekend, if you'd like to see some awesome work

Actually it is still around in the "cake decorating" forum. Someone just posted today! I think it has slowed down, but not dead LOL! Glad you liked the idea!

Here is the cake I did for my daughter's wedding, it was my first cake beside the ones done in my Wilton course 3 and Fondant and Gumpaste course. I took the classes to learn to work w/fondant in order to make her cake. The roses are 50-50 gumpaste and fondant. The colors do not show well in this picture. My daughter was very happy with it and has encouraged me to continue decorating. I am learning so much here, hard not to with all the help that is shared so freely! Thank you all!

I was so sad about this one, 64 views and only one comment! This is the first time ever that I got a truly square cake! And it was my first calla lily, made out of chocolate modeling clay that I made myself! I told hubby that I thought it was funny, my favorite cakes are never anyone else's on here icon_lol.gif

I'm also guilty of looking and not commenting because I'm usually in a hurry. There are so many beautiful cakes, it's hard to take the time to comment on all of them but I do save them in my fav's. I did one recently that I thought turned out cute but I guess posted it at a bad time. I'd like to post it but I don't know how. Can someone help? icon_redface.gif

Under your photo there is a pink box with your cake information, highlight the line that says URL, copy and paste in your message board.

Here's a Wedding Cake I made for last Friday. I know the butter cream could have looked better but I thought it looked really pretty. However, it only got 3 comments. It made me think twice about my taste in cakes! LOL

Hi CCer's, I have looked at all your links and I think all of you did great jobs and don't understand how they get overlooked

I'm sorry for not commenting individually but for some reason each time I tried to I would get and error message so cannot leave you all messages.

Here is my overlooked pic. I posted it because although I have been decorating and sellling cakes for many years, I have only resently started to try my hand at the 3D. I now I have a way to go but I am also looking for all of you to honestly critique my work. I feel that with your all help I can only improve. Sorry for the long message.
