My dd and I are taking over a playhouse and I am going to be doing the cakes. Anyone that lives in this area are welcome to call and check it out. Here is the link to the website on myspace for it.
http://www.myspace.com/wilsoncountyplayhouse
The Wilson County Playhouse is a childhood fantasy come true. We do theme parties and offer several packages to choose from. We are located in the heart of Five Star Farms in Lebanon, TN. Children of all ages can experience a new kind of fun. They can play for hours in a safe and caring environment. The playhouse is set up for birthday parties, holiday events, baby showers, school or group field trips and family outings. Each room has a different theme that will appeal to all ages. We transform the main party room to whatever theme that your child wishes to imagine. We can have outdoor movie parties with a huge screen, the size of the side of the house. We can have camping and bonfires, where we roast hot dogs and marshmallows. We can have a caveman cooking party, a paintball party, tea parties, princess parties, the possibilities are endless. Children can climb a tree in the middle of the house, bounce around in the space room, shoot at targets in the paintball field, and many other areas of fun. We can have costumed characters delight the children. We have a clown who does balloon animals. We can have Cinderella stop in. We have a tower where Spiderman perches and prepares to leap off and come to the rescue. The house is located in a residential wooded area. There is plenty of room to romp for outdoor events. We have a caterer who can provide specialty theme cakes for any event.

Wow! What an opportunity! It sounds like a kids dream. I am so tired of Chuck E. Cheese or Laser Tag parties. Wish we had something like this around here for the kiddos. Best of luck with your new endeavor.

Hugs,
Diana in VA

Thanks for the encouragement. It is mostly my dd and some of her friends, but I am going to be helping her out alot. She lives in Mt Juliet, only about 10 miles from the house. The owner has already set everything up and had it open last year, but didn't have enough time of his own to run it. he met her and told her she would be perfect for this. He is going to pay all building expenses and we are just going to be the planners and and stuff. We have the option to lease it in Jan if it turns into something that we want to keep doing. She has a freind who is her partner in this that is an accountant, so she is handling all of the finanical part of it.My nephew is really into graphic design and he builds sets for a local late night horror show, and he is going to help us out for a Halloween theme grand Opening in Oct.I wish I didn't live so far away from it. I would be there everyday, but it takes me 1 hr to get there. So I will have to be there to help on the weekends. We are only going to book a few parties at a time, only the weekends. I think it will be a lot of fun. And it has already been approved for food service. It has a full kitchen, too.
