Hi, I am making a cake for a jewelry store. They want a diamond ring on top. I made the cake and covered it with fondant. I just opened what i thought was edible gold leaf...and it is foil. Can I use the gold leaf bought at a craft store for food? My baking supply store is closed icon_sad.gif

You can e-mail the company, you won't get an answer until Tuesday or after.
If there is no www address on the package then Google the Co. name.

Your craft store most likely doesn't sell 24K gold leaf. If your still in a pinch maybe you could consider painting the ring using gold petal dust?
