Lorraine.. I loved hearing you!! You are so talented and so generous to share your secrets with us. I can't wait to try my hand at making an wee little elephant like yours.
Thanks for these videos!! Both of them were put together really well and you're an awesome teacher!! Hopefully you'll do more in the future!!
Thanks Lorraine, watched with my 6 and 9 year old and we can't wait to try making one.
Lorraine Had to add my thanks. Your directions are so great!! And you make it looks so easy.
I just love watching you work. I get so excited to go try something only to go make what should be one thing and find it looks nothing like it! But not to be discouraged I keep at it, who knows one day I may surprise even me! You keep em coming and I'll keep tryng!!
Okay.. I just HAD to buy the woman tutorial.. I can't wait to get my e-mail so I can access it.
Thank you again Lorraine.. you are such an inspiration.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS! YOU ARE SO TALENTED AND HOW WONDERFUL OF YOU TO SHARE THIS WONDERFUL TALENT!
Oh that's so cool.
I'm doing a cake for two birthday girl co-workers on Tuesday. I can't immediately think of a plausible reason to put elephants on it...but I'm gonna!
Thanks...and it was really cool to finally "meet" you!
Lorriane I just have to give you a big Texas size THANK YOU for sharing your video's with us. Just watched both the Elephant and the Hand modeling and I'm so inspired. In fact, I'm sending links to your videos to the two local cake clubs I belong to.
Would you be willing to share how you made the Swans in your Swan Time cake? I just love them and especially the one with it's head into the cake - can't stop laughing over that little character!
Thanks again - your work is awsome and inspiring.
Well I'm so glad you liked the little video. I really enjoyed putting it together. When I have the time and the ideas I shall certainly be putting a few more up for grabs. I'm not actually supposed to be browsing today....but the wee one is sleeping so I'm stealing the opportunity! In answer to a few questions, the green boards I use are these
http://www.sugarshack.co.uk/index.html?pageTitle=NonStick_Green_Board_12_X_95&pageDesc=&action=detail&maincatID=0&catID=&prodID=33899&brandID=
They come in different sizes and are made by Orchard Products if you want to search them. I have all the sizes. The one I use for modelling is 12" x 9" (I think!) The really big one I use for rolling my paste on for covering the cakes. You'll see that one in a covering a cake thing I did...you'll find that on my blog but I did put it here somewhere too.
The glue I use is CMC gum powder which is carboxy methyl cellulose...I know you really wanted to know that! Anyhow, it is a gum powder mixed with warm water to melt it and then leave it in the fridge overnight to find a nice clear glue in the morning. A quarter teaspoon to a tablespoon of warm water. It should be a syrupy consistency so if it is too thick in the morning, add a little more water and stir with a cocktail stick. It never looks like it is going to melt when you do it but it does...it's a wee miracle glue! Maybe I'll show you that in a video! (someone grab that camera and run!!!)
Just so you know...Tylose and Tylopur are also the same as CMC. All 3 will make the glue I use.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for your great support. I am using you all as practice you know for when I tour the world! hahahaha Just kidding....maybe not the world but I'm off to a few places soon by invitation so it is all good. It's great to have your feed back. I'll be full of confidence wherever I go now! Cheers!
Aine2, thank you so much for sharing with us! I have been wondering how to do the figures... and I just absolutely LOVE the ones that you have done. You have so much talent. I am so glad that you are willing to let others of us learn from your wisdom. And, thanks for sharing about the glue... I was wondering about that myself.
What was that? Less than 5 minutes???? Boy, howdy have I got to practice that one! You make it look so easy...
Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank You for sharing. I will be the first in line when you tour the world to teach us all the "Anie2 Way of sculpting".

Those were great! Thank you. I could listen to you talk all day and never tire of it. Love the accent.
Now I want to go buy all your videos! You make everything look so easy.
thanks a bunch...i loved watching that! can't wait to try it. i just spent my last dime purchasing some cake books, but i would love to buy some of your tuturials when i save up some more cash!
Lorraine, I don't really need to tell you again how much I love you and your work, but I will anyhow! I am amazed when I watch your videos. The speed at which you can turn a little blob of sugar into a recognizable figure is mind boggling! I hope you do travel the world and come right here to Maryland, USA! If you're teaching a class I want to be the first person to sign up! You were my inspiration to begin fondant modeling and it has become a passion. As the others have said, thanks for sharing you talents with us. Your a a kind, giving person.

I was so excited to see this after watching your other tutorial. I've just started sculpting (bear cake in my photos) & can't wait for the opportunity to do more. I've been looking at clay books for assistance, but seeing it is so much better! Thank-you very much! I can't wait if there's more to come.
Wow! Thanks for posting that-- its so much easier to learn from a video than to read about it. I think you're going to be famous
