Am looking for the recipe for a cheesecake we had when I was akid. It was always bought from the local Polish bakery on Holy Saturday.
Description: dense "crust", probably a shortbread of some kind; second layer was crushed pineapple; top layer was cheesecake, very dense.
One of the woman's magazines had an ad for Dole pineapple around Easter back in the mid '80s, which had a cake virtually like it. I lost that recipe and contacted Dole but they say no record.
Would appreciate your help finging this recipe.
Any of you have a Polish grandmother or older family member who might have the recipe?
