I have a really good cream cheese pound cake recipe, I don't know if it's the same one or not, but here it is:

1 1/2 cups butter
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
3 cups white sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract
6 eggs
3 cups cake flour
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease one 10 inch tube pan.
Cream together the butter, cream cheese, and sugar until light. Stir in the vanilla and the almond extracts. Add the flour and the eggs alternately, beginning and ending with the flour. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
Bake at 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean

Here's another plain pound cake recipe.

INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup butter
2 1/2 cups white sugar
5 eggs
2 teaspoons almond extract
1 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
3 cups cake flour
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Lightly grease and flour a 10 inch Bundt pan.
Cream shortening, butter and sugar until light and fluffy (for best results use an electric mixer). This will take a while. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in almond extract.
Combine baking powder and flour. Stir into creamed mixture alternately with the milk, starting and ending with flour. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.

Sorry for the delay! Crazy week. Here is the recipe I promised:

Sock-It-To-Me Cake

1 Box DH Golden Butter Cake Mix
2/3 C. oil
1/2 C. sugar
4 eggs - add 1 at a time
2 T. brown sugar
1/2 C. Nuts (pecan or walnut), chopped
1 tsp. cinnamon

Oven 325. Well-greased bundt pan. Mix by hand. Electric mixer may cause cake to fall. Combine cake mix, oil, sugar, sour cream and eggs. Add nuts last. In seperate bowl combine brown sugar and cinnamon. Pour 1/2 of batter into bundt pan. Add sugar/cinnamon mixture on top. Pour remaining batter into bundt pan. Bake about 50 minutes depending on your pan.

cassandrascakes, I tried the Elvis cake this weekend and LOVED it! Thanks for showing me my new standard pound cake! People who didn't like cake (crazy concept, huh?) asked for seconds. My kids have been gobbling it down like they've never been fed before. I'll have to try your variations next. Any other winners you can let me in on? Thanks again!

You are so welcome quills!! I love it too, and so does every one I have baked it for. There is a german chocolate cake on there also where you boil the sweetened condensed milk to make caramel that is to die for. I'll look through my recipe book on that site and let you know what else is good. I'm glad you like it!
