Hello!! I am making my first purse cake this weekend. I am not using fondant - just icing/decorating with buttercream.

I would like to know what pans are the best ones to use? I have found directions for using the round pans, but I was interested in something a little bit different.

For a more square purse cake, should I:

1. use loaf pans and stack?
2. use 8" square pans, cut and stack?

If it is easier to do using round pans let me know.

Any info and advice will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks....

Neicie,
I wish I could help, I am interested in making one as well. I would like to try to make one like a Vera Bradley bag.
