I need a good flavor icing to go with Butter Pecan.

Any ideas ?

Anything but cream cheese.

Not that it will matter but, it is for a man and it will be covered in MMF.

It is going to try to be a black leather jacket.

Any ideas on any of it would be very helpful.

Thanks.

Do you have a good carmel one?

I looked in the recipes and saw several, just wondering which you might have used.

I use maple buttercream with butter pecan. It's my most popular combination. I make a 1/2 butter, 1/2 hi-ratio shortening buttercream and flavor it with maple extract--mmmm, mmmm good!

I actually ice and fill the butterpecan cake I make with a peach mousse, and it's really good too...

mmmm, maple sounds good-
so does the peach mousse...wish I had some cake right now!

I make a caramel topping with brown sugar and add it to my icing, I use the Pastry Pride, not sure if it would work with buttercream.
