OK...
I have a bride-to-be who wants to do her wedding cake on the cheap... i have given her several options and have come up with something that is workable. NOW she would like to meet up and do some "sampling". which is fine BUT, how do i go about this? How does everyone else offer samples? DO you have frozen cakes ready to go? do you do "mini cakes" or cupcakes? How does everyone handle the samples? WOuld i have typical cakes for their sampling i.e., chocolate, vanilla, butercream icing only and then maybe have 1-2 samples with fillings? and let them know that fillings are extra? The biggest question though is the first part.... how do you all handle sampling?
i hope this doesnt sound confusing!

How insightful! I really like the way you handle the cake tasting venue. It all seems to flow perfectly. Thanks for sharing that with us! I love your whole approach to this task.
indydebi - thank you for the insightful advice. I will try this the next time I need to sample for a bride.
Since I work on my own, I charge a nominal fee for cake tasting appointments $10-20 depending on how many flavors the bride wants to sample.
