Almost five weeks ago merissa started a post entitled: Your under noticed cakes.... link here!! I began reading it and had the intention of adding to it, but as I was looking through it I realized that there are just soooooo many photos that get hundreds of views and only a handful, if that many!!, of comments! So I decided that instead of just going to the photos that people linked to in this post, I'd go to their album and try to comment on ALL (or almost all especially for the larger albums) their photos!

So today I finally finished! I went through all twenty five pages and for each member who posted to the thread I went into their album and went through all their photos!

I am now officially patting myself on the back for finishing my own little self imposed project and for helping to balance the views and comments ratio! Just wanted to share that with everyone.

Also, for those members who noticed that their photos were viewed by me and sent me such wonderful PM's, you're all very welcomed!! Each and every one of the photos I looked at had something very positive and inspiring thanks for sharing with the rest of us! The talent on this site is just mind-blowing! Such creative artists and works of edible art!!

I am now officially ready to "rejoin" the main boards!!

Yes I just noticed a few nights ago that you had posted on almost every single one of my cakes and I was so overwhelmed at your kind words I ran out to the living room and had my dh come back and read them all as well! What you did was so kind, not only by the wonderful messages you left, but by taking your own sweet time and doing that for someone else! Thank you again for the all the positive you bring to this site!!

Thanks alanahodgson and TheCakerator! Your works were beautiful to look at and I enjoyed taking the time to comment! I'm glad to hear that you appreciate my comments. I also have to admit that I am happy to have finished though (but probably not as much as my DH who thought I was addicted before! Now he was getting ready to unplug the computer and put it in the attic!! lol)

Anyway, thanks again for sharing and hopefully more people will comment instead of just peeking at photos!!

is there a way to know when someone has commented on your photos other than just looking at each individual photo?

Wow, Grace! That is one heck of a task you took upon yourself and it is very impressive that you completed the task! You should be patting yourself on the back! I am patting your back as well! No joke!! Way to go!!!!!!!

I really appreciated the comments that you left on my cakes! I know that it must have taken you so much time to look through all of those but I just wanted to let you know that it was a very sweet gesture and I am sure that you made the day for so many of us!

I too noticed you posted a comment on everyone of my cakes - and I was very grateful for that! I love getting such great positive comments! Thank you again, I was wondering what was up - so I checked out some of your cakes and plan to post more comments on not only yours but on others as well! I know of a few newbies that have felt hurt when they don't receive comments - I hope they realize that this does take time some users don't have - you are an inspiration though, way to "pay it forward"!

Sorry - I always hit submit before I am really done! I also wanted to say that getting such good comments from someone with the cake talent you have makes me (and I'm sure others) feel great!

Thanks so much everyone! I'm happy that you're all happy! Thank you too. So many of you have stopped my album and given me comments too! I didn't do it though to have people reciprocate for me specifically, though I do appreciate it ever so much, but I'm hoping we can all take time to leave even a couple of words whenever we open a thumbnail photo (yes, I know how difficult it is sometimes, especially when doing a search)!
