I just throw my cookie cutters into large plastic containers (a different category for each - i.e., christmas, animals, etc.).

As for chocolate molds, I have boxes meant for storing files, and they fit perfectly in there (I use tabbed dividers to separate into categories).

Good luck finding a system that works for you. icon_biggrin.gif

I use the plastic shoe containers you can get at Walmart for .97cents.. Then put them in categories like BrandiBakes does. Baby, Wedding, Xmas.. etc.
I write the category on the end so when I stack them (you can stack these ones) you can see what container has what in it.

I have a book shelve that I put all the containers on.

Good luck!

I have one of those rolling drawer organizers with 6 drawers--3 smaller and 3 larger. The 3 smaller hold fondant/gumpaste tools and dusts. The 3 larger hold most of my cutters, organized into holiday, kids, and other. I'm going to need something more soon, though.

I have mine divided into categories like the above posters, but in large plastic Ziploc bags. I then have the bags in a large plastic container. Makes my midnight cookie cutter shuffling a little quieter. icon_smile.gif

Ok, I know I'm a geek - but I have all my cookie cutters on those pants hangers that have the wooden dowel across the bottom (that clips). That way all of a certain type usually are on 1 or 2 hangars and hung in the pantry. Molds are in a file cabinet in those green hanging folders. I know, I know - geek... geek... geek... - but it works icon_smile.gif

I use the plastic shoe boxes as well. Easy to stack on shelves, easy to label, and very inexpensive!

I actually have an old cabinet from my great-grandmother and it has a flour drawer (with the sifter in the bottom and another door that opens up so you can put a bowl under the sifter, love it and wish I could use it) Mine are in a huge ziplock bag in the flour drawer. My two year old finds them extremely fascinating so I had to hide them. thumbs_up.gif If I had as many as you I would probably go with the plastic bins or a peg board with hooks maybe.

I store both my cookie cutters and chocolate molds on pegboards hung on the garage walls.

sionann, it sounds like you have a Hoosier Cabinet. Lucky you! They're pretty awesome!

I store mine in tins - on my pantry shelves. It was one way to use up those old Boy Scout popcorn tins. icon_wink.gif

I have also purchased clear plastic shoe boxes and have them labeled by events i.e. weddings, baby, flowers, etc. and I put my chocolate molds in there as well. I think it's the easiest way.
