I don't know if anyone can help me out but my cousin called me up with this question. She had this fantastic cake at a wedding but the mother of the bride wasn't willing to share the recipe with her. The MOB said, it was a recipe from a restaurant and she had been asked to keep it a secret. Later that week she saw the SAME cake on Martha's show and Martha wasn't sharing either. She's going crazy! It's a cross between a pound cake/angel cake, has fruit in it (kiwi, strawberries,etc.) with an orange glaze on top? Not sure if anyone has a clue what type of cake this is. She said, it's to die for and she's not a big cake person.

I told her I would ask the CC ladies, someone must know something about this cake! Famous cake from a famous restaurant in PA?

I'm surprised Martha had something on her show that she didn't share. Do you know the name of the restaurant, or what they call the cake?

There are a couple of websites that have 'copycat' recipes. If there were more details, someone might find it or something close.

JoanneB, Martha said the same thing that she was sworn to secrecy. My cousin didn't give me a specific name for the cake. I wish I would have seen that episode at least I would have known what was going into the cake even if I didn't know the measurements of the ingredients. Maybe I will try to find the episode.

Well that sucks! I beleive that if you are going to make and brag on a recipe, it should be available to share. I will check Martha's site too. Any idea when it aired? recently?

Try looking on www.recipezaar.com. You can do a search for ingredients and/or name of cake. Good luck!

I think it aired about two weeks ago. Thanks gilson6, its become a quest for her now. *laff*
