Many of us buy from different sources online.
Some popular sites are:

sugarcraft.com
cakedeco.com
wilton.com
papermart.com

and I am just starting to buy from a wholesale distributer in my area for ingredients...check with bakeries in your area about who they use for that kind of thing.

What's needed with the edible image equipment? How much do they run?

I order from Golda's Kitchen, Kitchen Kraft and Beryls and Foss cookie cutters when I can't get what I need in my own town.
I either get stuff in my own town at Michaels, Bulk Barn or a local cake shop that stocks items that I sometimes can use. I use the local cake shop to do edible images for me as I don't have that big a volume for them yet for me to invest in purchasing equipment to produce them.

It is hard but you have to keep your eyes open all the time for cake stock.

Good luck,
Kathy

Estasrica,

I just wanted to nose in a second. I am not a pro and don't have a shop so I can't answer the questions but was looking at your cakes and wanted to stop and say how gorgeous the tiered cake is. It is a great inspirational piece for a newbie to decorating like myself (I have only been doing cakes for a month and have had no training just the love for it).

I agree with RisqueBusiness you can get from sysco also try contacting
Dawn's Products. They have every filling, cake mix, frosting, icing mix, whip, just to name a few items. Check them out . For fondant use satinfinefoods.com. Lots of luck.
