I was planning on making a tractor cake for a little boy's birthday that I babysit. I wanted to make it rise of the cake board instead of just sitting flat. Well the little boy's mommy gave me the wrong date so instead of one week to do this cake I had two days, and limited supplies. After pm-ing a few people on how to's, I went out to my dh garage, while he was at work, to see what I could scavage out there. I found a sheet of plexigalss, and an hour later found where my dh keeps the key to his tool box, and found the jigsaw. The last time i used a power tool was in high school shop class, but figured if school trusted me back then, then why not. I drew a template for the base, taped it on secured the plexi glass , even put on goggles, and just cut the template out. Next I neatly put everything away, exactly the way I found it, went inside and sacrificed two building blocks from the day care kids, liquid nailed them to the plexi galss and made my own cake stand for cars and trucks. Now my only question is why isn't there a lock to my kitchen aid??
